Located 20 minutes north of San Diego in Encinitas, California, Quail Botanical Gardens features over 35 acres of exhibits, including rare bamboo groves, desert gardens, a tropical rainforest, California native plants, Mediterranean climate landscapes, the Undersea Succulent Garden, Landscaping for Fire Safety and a subtropical fruit garden. In April of 2003, Quail introduced the West Coast's first interactive children's garden, the Seeds of Wonder.


101 Artists' Colony

The 101 Artists' Colony seeks to foster an awareness of all forms of art and encourage the interaction between artists and the community at large. We accomplish this by showcasing music, poetry, dance and theater events, participating in community art projects, and serving as a conduit between the artists and community at large.

Our surf lessons are designed to teach you not only how to surf, but how to learn to surf on your own without taking further surf lessons.
While surfing is one of the most difficult sports to master, with the assistance of our expertise after a lifetime of surfing, we can get you up and riding so that you can actually surf on your first time out. In an hour we'll have you doing what it takes others weeks to accomplish.
If you are just visiting the San Diego area, don't live near the surf and don't plan to continue surfing, you can come out and surf with us purely for the physical benefits which surfing provides.
